If you’re 18 or older and spent part of your childhood here, this is your chance to return to camp for an experience that feels familiar in all the best ways, with traditions, memories, and a sense of belonging you never quite outgrew.
Bring your family or a friend along. Camp is better when you share it.
To join us, you’ll need to be part of the Legacy Circle, our free alumni association. Registration details will be shared with members, and membership is required to enroll. Not a member yet? Join before you sign up.

Boat returns to Long Beach: Wednesday ~1:00 PM
(Yes, it’s a perfect 3-day getaway)

Our Activities
Enrolled Families
BOAT INFORMATION
A small cohort of Catalina Sea Camp staff will escort the group to and from Catalina Island aboard a large passenger boat departing from Pier D in Long Beach.
If you are prone to seasickness, we strongly recommend taking motion sickness medication about one hour prior to departure. Transportation to and from the island is included in your tuition.
If there are any schedule changes or emergencies affecting departure or arrival times, we will notify you via email, phone blast, and text message.
Please note that we will not be providing transportation to or from airports.
PARKING INFORMATION
Please note that this is not our private boat or parking facility — we contract with the company that operates both.
Overnight parking is available for $25 per night. The lot is located in an industrial area, but it is gated and locked overnight, and your vehicle will be secure.

Look for the sign that says CATALINA CLASSIC CRUISES and the Sea Camp dancing inflatable out front.
You may use the QR code below for the exact location. We strongly recommend using the QR code rather than the WAZE app, as WAZE may direct you to the wrong parking lot.
BOAT TIMES
Monday, August 3
Please arrive no later than 8:45 AM
Boat departs at 9:30 AM
Wednesday, August 5
The boat will depart Toyon Bay around 11:00 AM-ish and arrive back in Long Beach around 1:15 PM-ish
PAPERWORK
Required for ALL attendees
Each attendee must complete the waiver before boarding the boat. Parents must complete paperwork for each child attending.
Please print and complete the waiver and bring it with you. We will collect waivers during check-in.

Required for SCUBA divers
All scuba divers must complete the dive waiver linked below and bring both their:
- C-Card
- DAN card
C-Cards will be checked and waivers collected during Activity Sign-Ups in Elderberry.

HOUSING
You’ll be staying in the dorms — just like your camper days!
Please remember to bring:
- A sleeping bag
- A pillow
Housing assignments will be available once we arrive at Toyon Bay.
PACKING
Living on the ocean means cool mornings and evenings, though August can also surprise us with warm weather. Please check the forecast and pack accordingly.
Expect plenty of ocean time, and keep in mind that laundry facilities will not be available unless there is an urgent need.
No need for anything fancy — beachwear is perfect.
We will also host a social hour in the Lower Quad with beer and wine available for guests 21 and older. Island casual attire encouraged!

If you are bringing a very young child, please note that we do not provide cribs or pack-and-plays.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our days will be packed with classic Sea Camp activities! You can:
- Relax at the beach
- Climb the climbing wall
- Visit the labs
- Go hiking
- Snorkel
- Kayak
- Sail
- Or even scuba dive
Evenings will include activities like a night snorkel and, of course, a Camp Dance.
For scuba divers: CIMI will provide tanks, weight belts, and air fills only. Please see the dive waiver information above.
All meals, beginning with lunch on Monday through lunch on Wednesday, are included with your tuition.
Please do not bring alcohol, vaping devices, or drugs of any kind, including marijuana.
And yes… we’ll be unplugging you — just like old times! WiFi will not be available during your stay at Toyon Bay. If there is an emergency and you need assistance, our staff will be happy to help.
