Ashley “Peach” Bueche

Catalina Sea Camp Dive Director

After college I was looking for a career path to combine my degrees and outdoor education was a perfect fit. At a previous job I met someone who worked at CIMI and I was super impressed by her skills, knowledge, and what she told me about where she lived and worked.

I applied and was hired as a Marine Science Instructor at CIMI Fox Landing. Right away, it was apparent that the organization was above and beyond any other outdoor education program I had worked at. The program was top notch and Guided Discoveries’ care for their staff was extraordinary. So, I never left! I’ve been fortunate to have been at the right place at the right time for leadership opportunities and have loved growing within this organization. I learned to scuba dive here and have worked my way to leading our scuba program and training others to be scuba instructors. I met my husband on my first day at Fox Landing and we are thrilled to be living on the island together with our daughter and dog!

I am proud and fortunate to work for an organization with such an important and focused mission. Just as Guided Discoveries has positively impacted millions of children, it has changed my life in a huge way. I am so fortunate for the opportunity to turn one of my passions into a career that inspires wonder, growth, and passion in the next generation.
