Hey! I'm Hannah. I grew up in Southern California, but I've been living in Flagstaff, Arizona the past four years for college. I will be graduating this May with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.
My passion has always been working with kids and making a difference in young children’s lives. I have attended summer camp since I was 4. I have never missed a summer camp since then. I have worked at summer camps for 7 years now. This will be my 18th summer spent doing all things camp-related!
I attended Catalina Sea Camp for the first time when I was 13. I was a camper for 4 summers. After a few gap years working at my dad’s day camp that I grew up going to, my heart was longing to go back to my island home. I missed the crazy crew nights and dances, the skills that camp taught me from scuba diving to sailing and kayaking, but most of all, I missed the amazing connections that I made on the island.
Working for Guided Discoveries has been a dream come true. I have made lifelong friendships and connections, learned important life skills, and have had so many once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I will treasure forever. Outside of camp, I love to slackline, travel and go on adventures with my family and friends. However, most of my favorite hobbies are ones that I learned from Catalina Sea Camp. I now love to scuba dive, sail, and surf any chance I get. I can’t wait for an awesome summer and to see all of your smiling faces as you get on the boat, head to the island, and get ready to have the most magical adventure of your life!
A hundred years from now it will not matter how much money I had in the bank, what kind of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove… but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child.
